Comfortable. That's one of my favorite words. One of my biggest goals is for people to feel totally comfortable being themselves in front of my camera. When it comes to couples, when you feel comfortable is when we'll get images that you'll look at and think "Yep, that's US!" I encourage sweet whispers and big squeezes, whatever will remind you about why you love being together. I also believe that I can best serve couples when they are more than just my clients. I love getting to know my brides and grooms so that they feel like its not a stranger showing up on their wedding day to take their picture, its someone they know and feel comfortable with.
I strive to create images that will stand the test of time and that clients will still be proud of in 50 years. My shooting and editing style is simple and natural.
On wedding days, I do my best to stay in the background and capture moments as they unfold naturally. However, quality of light is a huge factor in the overall look of photography, so if I can make a suggestion about where to get ready or where to stand for portraits that will greatly improve the results, I'm happy to do that.
I also know that most people (including me!) don't know how to pose themselves. During portrait time I'll give enough instruction so that you can relax and just be yourselves without worrying about striking that perfect pose that you practiced in the mirror. No practice necessary, just have fun!
